Introduction to the New Testament
The New Testament is part of the sacred scriptures for millions of Christians. This course is a unique opportunity to study the New Testament together with a group of people from a wide variety of faith backgrounds, or no faith background at all.
While the major textbook for this course is the New Testament, we will also look at other material that helps to provide the historical, cultural, and literary keys which give us a better understanding of the New Testament. We will also look at how the New Testament is read in other cultures, and by people who are different than we are.
The class usually consists of a wide variety of people, who bring their own perspectives and interests.
