Meeting Schedule for 2008/2009:

The Executive Committee generally meets on the first and third Mondays of the month.   

Committee Activities:

The Executive Committee’s primary activity is to review proposals from the faculty senate committees and to prepare the agenda for the faculty senate meetings. 

Our meetings are held from 3:30 to 5:00.  Provost Miller usually meets with the committee at the beginning of the meeting to give us an update on budget and university matters.  The remainder of the meeting consists of discussions on senate agenda items.

This year our work was focused primarily on the external reviews for tenure and promotion, the revised faculty grievance policy, and the proposed changes to academic misconduct policies.  These proposals were sent to the senate for consideration.
