c. Charges: The Faculty Affairs Committee deals with the
relationship between the WSU Faculty and the University and the State of
Kansas. Specific areas of responsibility are:
1. Terms of employment, tenure
policies, tenure and promotion guidelines, salary, fringe benefits,
retirement, life insurance, health insurance, leave procedures, faculty
benefits and responsibilities, dismissal policies and conflict of interest
policies.
2. Issues of faculty statues
within the University.
3. Academic freedom policies of
the University and the State, including review of current policies,
recommendations for changes, and review of any changes proposed by the
University or the Board of Regents.
