- Served on the Executive Committee of the Barton School of Business.

- Made extensive efforts to identify and recruit good lecturers (adjuncts) in difficult areas such as Finance, MIS, Operations Management, and BLAW
- Coordinated a review of all the curricula in FREDS department at the undergraduate and graduate levels
- Carefully reviewed, with my department, the dean proposal to move MIS from FREDS to the Accounting department
- Submitted a proposal to revise the MIS curriculum to the college dean and facilitated its actual revision in 2003
- Obtained the Microsoft and the Oracle Academic Agreements for the FREDS department to allow students, especially MIS students, access to professional developer software
- Secured funding for a server to provide an efficient on-line distribution system of the Microsoft development software to students
- Developed a survey to be sent out to all students who graduated from our MIS program to solicit feedback about their experience with our program
- Turned the old copy center in the Barton School of Business to a mini lab to be used by faculty, students and graduate assistants in the FREDS department. Installed a code entry system to the lab in 2003
- Designed a Faculty Board with pictures and bios of FREDS department faculty. Posted the board outside the FREDS office
- Established a faculty allowance for productive junior faculty in the FREDS department to help them with research related expenses.
- Initiated talks with the Industrial Engineering (IE) department to identify opportunities for collaboration with the Decision Sciences area in the School of Business
- Documented office processes and put systems in place to improve office operations and cut costs
- Coordinated the development of the new department web site http://webs.wichita.edu/freds
Wrote official letters to be sent along with brochures about the different programs in the department - Initiated the switch of teaching the undergraduate Database course from using Access to using a more enterprise level database. We experimented with Oracle and Microsoft SQL and decided to go with the latter in 2003. This continued to date
- Updated the hardware and the software in the department on a regular basis

Service Activities at University of Wisconsin-River Falls, 1994-1998
- Wrote a detailed proposal for a technology grant to fund a Multimedia Computer Lab for the School of Business & Economics. I was primarily responsible for implementing all phases of the project
- Took part in the decision to acquire a Group Decision Support System, Group Systems by Ventana Corporation, and helped install it in the computer lab. Facilitated some meetings within the University and for outside groups using the new system
- Served on several committees, including a campus wide Information Technology committee and an MIS curriculum development committee
- Developed two new courses in the Information Systems area: The Computer in Business (became required of all business majors) and Multimedia on the Internet (business elective)
- Conducted three workshops on using different software to faculty and staff on campus during the UWRF Professional Development Conference
- Delivered presentations on Information technology issues to the members of the River Falls Area Chamber of Commerce, and to other groups visiting the campus
