A gift of
Education for a Woman
Has been sent in your honor
The Wichita State University Center for Women’s Studies offered its first class in 1971. The program is one of the longest-standing, degree-granting, women’s studies programs I the United States enriching student’s preparation for future work in many different fields.
Women’s studies department scholarships allow students to learn about the cross-cultural experiences and issues, and the professional and domestic contributions of women to society and arts. The classes provide a view of the history of women and their contribution to present society. It offers a vision of future possibilities for women as they reach their full potential. Students from this department work in areas such as social work, education, business, medicine, law, psychology, administration of justice or other areas, which concentrate on human services and behavior.
Scholarships for women $5 = two lectures for a three hour class; $15 = three chapters of a textbook.
